Our Vision

At Little Gates Creations, we do things a little differently — because the families we serve deserve something better than ordinary accessories.

We create comfortable, functional, and safe accessories for Deaf and Hard of Hearing children who rely on hearing technology every day. Our goal is to support consistent device use while giving children cute choices that help them feel confident and proud of who they are.

What Makes Our Products Different

• Handmade in the USA
• Designed to protect hearing aids and cochlear implants
• Improves comfort and wear time
• Uses soft, breathable materials around the ear area
• Helps reduce irritation and minimize feedback
• Prevents little hands from pulling devices off or losing them during play

We understand that every child’s journey with hearing technology is different. What works at one stage may not work at another — and that’s okay.

That’s why we offer:
• Secure support for everyday wear
• Fun accessories that make devices feel exciting instead of frustrating
• A variety of styles to meet families where they are

More than anything, we believe children should never have to choose between function and fun. At Little Gates Creations, we combine comfort, functionality, and safety with cute designs that celebrate individuality and Deaf pride — so kids can focus on being kids.

Our Story

My best friend, Kristilynn, and I first learned about the world of hearing technology when her newborn daughter, Evelyn, failed her newborn hearing screening. After four additional failed tests, Evelyn was diagnosed at just three months old with Sensorineural Hearing Loss. She began hearing aid trials soon after and was later evaluated for a cochlear implant at 12 months of age.

From the very beginning, we knew we needed a way to keep Evelyn’s devices safe, secure, and comfortable. We searched for existing products and tried several options, but nothing truly met our needs. The lack of functional designs — especially ones that were also cute and stylish — made the process even more frustrating.

That’s when I began creating my own patterns. For months, I spent countless hours designing and testing hats and headbands on our little model to see what truly worked. We eliminated what didn’t, refined what did, and focused on creating options that were not only functional but also comfortable and beautiful. Once Evelyn was able to wear her hearing aids for a full day, we tested these designs long-term to ensure they truly supported daily life.

As we attended Evelyn’s ENT, audiology, and early intervention appointments, something unexpected happened — doctors, therapists, and families began asking where they could get these accessories. They wanted business cards. They wanted information. They wanted the same solutions for their own children.

That’s when we knew this could be more than just a personal project. Together, we decided to turn this journey into a business — one focused on providing thoughtfully designed hearing aid and cochlear implant accessories for children who deserve both comfort and confidence.

A year after receiving her cochlear implant, Evelyn developed an infection and required surgery to remove the device. In the future, she may be reconsidered for a new implant if that is the path her family chooses.

Today, Evelyn is four years old and attends her local school for the Deaf. She continues to wear a hearing aid on her right side and is thriving through ASL, confidence, and community. Her journey reminds us that there is no single “right” path — only the path that works best for each child and family.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story, visit our little shop, and support our mission to bring the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community more stylish and functional options. We are honored to be part of your journey and your child’s journey.
